NLRB Publishes Regulation Mandating All Employers to Post NLRA Rights Notice

Personnel Concepts Now Offering a Fully Compliant NLRA Rights Poster

Aug 30, 2011

With the publication today of a new National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) regulation requiring all employers to post a National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) notification for easy access by their employees, Personnel Concepts has moved quickly to publish a text- and size-compliant poster and make it available to businesses everywhere.

The 11-by-17 poster contains the exactly wording that will be used in today's Federal Register-published regulation. The Personnel Concepts research department painstakingly verified the accuracy and compliance of the poster through direct contact with the NLRB.

The poster needs to be displayed by April 31, 2012, when the regulation takes effect. Businesses that fail to display the NLRA Rights Poster are subject to unfair labor practices by the NLRB and its General Counsel.

“Many small businesses, and even some larger ones, don’t realize that the NLRA protects employees’ rights even in non-unionized organizations,” said Robert Leland III, director of research for Personnel Concepts. “The NLRB under the Obama administration has been particularly aggressive in protecting and securing workers’ rights to discuss their employment conditions, even on the social media. The NLRA Rights Poster is a major step taken by the NLRB to protect employee rights. Employers should take heed.”

Personnel Concepts offers a full array of posters and compliance/instructional kits to help employers stay current, so please visit PersonnelConcepts.com or call toll free at 800-333-3795 for further details.
