The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is mandating that all employers (with few exceptions such as religious organizations, family operations and farmers) display a new National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) Employee Rights Poster prominently in break rooms and other accessible areas. Failure to display the poster can lead to unfair labor practices by the NLRB and its General Counsel. The NLRB under the Obama administration has been aggressively seeking to protect employee rights under the National Labor Relations Act. Many employers don't realize that the NLRA protects employees in non-union as well as union environments. You must post the new NLRA Employee Rights Poster by April 30, 2012, or be subject to unfair labor charges by the NLRB and its General Counsel. Available in both English and Spanish. According to the NLRA final rule, if your 20 percent of more of your workforce speaks a language other than English, you must also display the poster in that language. |
