A new law entitles businesses to special tax credits for hiring individuals who have been unemployed for eight weeks. Under the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act, which was enacted into law on March 18th, 2010, businesses are eligible for tax credits ranging up to $6,621 for each new hire of an unemployed worker.
