The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has issued revised final interpretive regulations effective January 16th, 2009, that explicitly delineate employer obligations under the law. The new regulations included a revised DOL FMLA Notice Poster, which is mandatory to post for all covered employers. In addition to posting this newly revised, required notice, employers are obligated to notify employees of their rights and responsibilities under the law and ensure that their FMLA policies comply with the DOL’s revised regulations.
