Montana Labor Law Poster: Minimum Wage to Rise on Jan. 1, 2012
Dec 14, 2011
The Montana Department of Labor and Industry, Wage and Hour Unit, has released a new minimum wage notice for 2012.
Effective Jan. 1, 2012, the minimum wage will increase from $7.35 per hour to $7.65 per hour. The minimum wage is subject to a cost-of-living adjustment based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), as calculated in August.
According to the agency, the minimum wage poster is not a required posting. Although this change is not mandatory, all employers must post updated state notices in Montana.
The new notice will be sent to Personnel Concepts subscription customers as part of their regular update service. Others may call Customer Service at (800) 333-3795 to inquire about obtaining one.
