Illinois Labor Law Poster: Unemployment Insurance Benefits Notice Updated

The Illinois Department of Employment Security has updated the state's manded "Unemployment Insurance Benefits" notice.

According to the agency, a claimant's average weekly wage will now be computed by dividing the wages paid during the two highest quarters of the base period by 25 instead of 26. The contact information and web address for the Department of Employment Security have also changed.

This change is mandatory, and all Illinois employers are required to update their notices dated 9/07 with the current version dated 8/12. Customers on a subscription will receive an updated side panel, SS1 or state-only poster. Others wanting to acquire this poster should contact Customer Service at (800) 333-3795.
