Ohio Labor Law Poster: Minimum Wage Going Up in 2012

The Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance and Labor has updated the state's "Minimum Wage" notice.
Effective Jan. 1, 2012, the Ohio minimum wage rate for non-tipped employees will increase from $7.40 per hour to $7.70 per hour. The minimum wage rate for tipped employees (plus tips) will also increase from $3.70 per hour to $3.85 per hour. Employees whose employers gross $283,000 or less per year and 14- and 15-year olds shall be paid no less than the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
According to the agency, this change is mandatory and all employers are required to update their old notices dated 01/14/11 with the current version dated 09/29/11.
