Florida Labor Law Poster: Minimum Wage to Rise Jan. 1, 2012

The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity has released a new Minimum Wage poster for 2012.

Effective Jan. 1, 2012, the Florida minimum wage rate will increase from $7.31 per hour to $7.67 per hour. The minimum wage for tipped employees will also increase from $4.29 per hour to $4.65 per hour.

The wage rates were determined by an annual calculation based on the state's consumer price index. Per the agency, this change is mandatory and all employers are required to update their old posters with the current version.
