Arizona Labor Law Poster: MRSA Notice Updated
Aug 17, 2011
The Industrial Commission of Arizona has updated the state's "Work Exposure to Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), Spinal Meningitis, or Tuberculosis (TB)" notice.
According to the agency, certain classes of employees may more easily establish a claim related to MRSA, spinal meningitis or TB by reporting the details of the exposure to the employer no later than 30 calendar days after the possible significant exposure.
Also, a claim involving the diagnosis of MRSA must be made within 15 days after the employee reports the incident. Per the agency, this change is mandatory and all employers must replace their old notices dated 6/09 with the current version dated 7/11.
Arizona compliance update subscribers will receive the new version in the mail. Others should call Customer Service at (800) 333-3795 to procure one.
