Effective Jan. 1, 2012, the Arizona minimum wage will increase from $7.35 per hour to $7.65 per hour.
The Arizona Minimum Wage Act does not apply to persons who are employed by a parent or a sibling, persons who are employed as babysitters in private homes on a casual basis, persons who are employed by the state of Arizona or the U.S. government, and any person employed in a small business grossing less than $500,000 in annual revenue.
According to state law, this change is mandatory and all employers are required to update their old notices with the current version.
