E-Verify Right-to-Work Notice Poster
Alerts your employees to the E-Verify process and their rights under it
Many states require employers to use the federal E-Verify online database system to ascertain the legal status of potential employees, or returning employees, to work in the United States. In addition, the federal government requires E-Verify checking on all employees working under a federal contract of $100,000 or more or under a subcontract of $3,000 or more.
E-Verify relies on Social Security Administration and USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) databases to look up records on prospective employments and determine if they have a legal work status.
Half of this poster alerts employees to the fact that the company relies on the E-Verify system, and the other half describes their right to work in the U.S. despite national origin without discrimination provided they have the legal status. It tells how they can challenge and correct any erroneous result from the E-Verify online database.
